Personal Statement

My practice moves between drawing, performance, and installation, using the body as both a tool and a site of mark-making. Through repetitive gestures—often circular, constrained, or extended through handmade structures—I explore how movement can translate into trace.

Influenced by art therapy and experiences working with children, I am interested in non-verbal forms of communication: how marks, materials, and physical actions can hold emotion where language cannot. Garments, tools, and surfaces become mediators between inner experience and external expression.

My work often unfolds in immersive or outdoor environments, creating a space that feels both intimate and ritualistic. I am drawn to processes that involve touch, restriction, and release—where drawing becomes an embodied act of sensing, rather than representation.
